About me

Hellooo, I'm Julia Prieto a Spanish children's illustrator, but people know me as Juliana Mandariana. That name comes from the spanish word mandarina that is clementine in english, something that I'm obsessed with.

When I was a child my mom bought me a white chair that I brought with me everywhere to sit down and draw anything during hours. Since then my life has been related to art, films, series, mangas, books. These are some of my hobbies and I used it to learn more about art.

I've studied fine arts at the University of Granada and Child Illustration in Escola Joso, Barcelona. When I finished my studies I decided to become a children's book illustrator, and continue learning more about this wonderful world.

My art tries to show the diversity not only in education but also as a human being and obviously always In a funny and colourful way.
